Cabergoline (Caber)

Cabergoline is a potent, long acting dopamine receptor agonist specifically engineered to inhibit the secretion of prolactin. While it was originally developed for medical conditions like Parkinson’s disease, restless leg syndrome, and hyperprolactinemia. In the performance enhancing world. It functions by mimicking the action of dopamine, which acts as a natural brake on the pituitary gland's lactotrophs. When you introduce 19-nor steroids like Trenbolone or Nandrolone into your system, they can stimulate these cells to pump out prolactin, leading to the dreaded Deca Dick, lactation, and glandular growth in the breast tissue. Cabergoline effectively severs this signal, forcing prolactin levels back into range and restoring sexual function.

The biological synergy between estrogen and prolactin is a trap that many users fall into during a heavy blast. High levels of estrogen can disrupt the body's natural inhibitory effect of dopamine, essentially opening the floodgates for prolactin to rise. This is why many experienced users find that keeping their estrogen in check with an aromatase inhibitor is the first line of defense; however, when 19-nors are in play, they can bypass this entirely. In these cases, Cabergoline is the only tool that hits the D2 receptors directly to shut down synthesis. Beyond the physical symptoms like spicy or leaky nipples, high prolactin is a psychological and sexual drain, often leading to anhedonia and a total loss of interest in intimacy.

One of the most famous effects of Cabergoline is its ability to drastically reduce the sexual refractory period. Because it suppresses the natural prolactin spike that occurs after an orgasm, some users report a god mode level of sexual performance where they can go multiple rounds with almost no downtime.

Dosing this compound requires extreme precision and caution due to its incredibly long active life of approximately seven days. The standard anecdotal range is 0.5mg to 1.5mg per week, usually split into two doses, though many find that as little as 0.25mg twice a week is enough to crash their prolactin into the floor. Because of its potency, it is widely recommended to never take it preventatively without blood work confirming a high prolactin state. Crashing your prolactin can be just as miserable as having it too high, potentially causing long term suppression of natural production and ruining your mood and erectile quality.

The most significant long term risk associated with Cabergoline is its effect on the heart. The drug activates serotonin receptors in the heart, which can lead to the growth of heart valves and a condition known as cardiac valvulopathy. While this is primarily seen in Parkinson's patients taking much higher daily doses, the cumulative effect for a steroid user over several years is a concern. Additionally, there is evidence that Cabergoline can tank IGF-1 levels, which directly conflicts with muscle-building goals.
