TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4)

Synthetic fragment of Thymosin Beta-4

TB-500, or Thymosin Beta-4, is a synthetic version of a protein found in virtually all human and animal cells. It is primarily used to promote the migration of cells to injured areas to facilitate repair and regeneration. This peptide works through the regulation of actin, a vital protein that assists in the structure and movement of cells. By sequestering G-actin and promoting its polymerization into F-actin, TB-500 allows cells to move more efficiently to the site of a tear or inflammation.

TB-500 is notably systemic in its action. This means it can be injected subcutaneously anywhere, and it will circulate through the entire body to find and treat damaged tissues.

The anti inflammatory properties of this peptide are significant and often produce immediate results in terms of pain relief. It works by downregulating inflammatory cytokines and increasing the presence of growth factors that stimulate the formation of new blood vessels. This process of angiogenesis is a major reason why it's being used for chronic injuries such as rotator cuff tears, tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis.

When looking at user data, a common protocol involves a loading phase of five milligrams per week for the first four weeks, followed by a maintenance dose of two milligrams per week for an additional month. It is very frequently paired with BPC 157 to provide a comprehensive healing environment.

The safety profile of TB-500 is generally considered favorable, with very few reported side effects outside of minor irritation at the injection site. There is some discussion in the research community regarding its effect on tumor growth; while some animal studies suggest it can inhibit certain types of tumors, its role in angiogenesis raises the same theoretical concerns as other growth promoting peptides. If a malignancy is already present, providing the body with tools to build new blood vessels could inadvertently assist the tumor. However, for a healthy user it is generally considered safe.

For those who have lived with chronic musculoskeletal injuries for years, the rapid dissipation of acute pain is frequently cited as the most impressive feature of the compound. It is a powerful biological signal that allows the body to move past the inflammatory stage of an injury and get straight into the actual reconstruction of the tissue.
