Turinabol (Tbol)

Smooth oral, lean strength

Turinabol, or Tbol, is a unique oral steroid with a history rooted in the East German Olympic doping programs. It is a chemical derivative of Dianabol but features a 4-chloro substitution which prevents it from aromatizing into estrogen. This modification makes it a dry compound that provides steady, quality muscle gains without the water retention, bloating, or risk of gynecomastia associated with its more famous counterpart. Because it is a 17-alpha-alkylated steroid, it survives the first pass through the liver, making it orally active but also hepatotoxic.

Tbol has a profound impact on athletic endurance and red blood cell production. It was designed specifically for performance rather than clinical medicine, making it a favorite for combat athletes and sprinters who need to increase speed and stamina without adding significant body weight. One of its most effective traits is its high affinity for Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG). By binding to SHBG, it effectively frees up more of the other steroids in a user's system, such as testosterone, making the overall stack more potent.

Dosage protocols for men generally fall between 40mg and 60mg per day, while advanced users may push toward 80mg or 100mg, though diminishing returns and side effects increase sharply at that level. The half life is approximately 16 hours, so splitting the dose twice daily helps maintain stable blood levels. Most users run Tbol as a 4 to 6 week finisher or kickstart, noting that while it does not provide the massive size of anadrol, the lean tissue gained is much easier to maintain after the cycle ends.

Despite its mild reputation, Turinabol can cause health strain, particularly regarding blood pressure and cholesterol. Many users report a rapid spike in blood pressure, sometimes reaching hypertension levels, alongside a sharp decrease in HDL and an increase in LDL.

Because it is a 17aa oral, it elevates liver enzymes, requiring the use of protective ancilarries like NAC or TUDCA. Additionally, Tbol is notorious for causing painful pumps in the lower back and shins, which can hinder the very athletic performance the drug is intended to enhance.
